Sorry for the delay with my English translation. In this video, Ana Sofia was being picky with my food, some vegetables and chicken I cooked for her. She usually eats very well everything I give to her, but this time, she just wanted her gummies made of fruit juice (which are kind of sweet of course). Here you can see how she asks for "more" in sign language when I show her the gummies but when I show her the vegetables, she moves her head no no no.
Just so you know, we decided to teach Ana Sofia some sign language because we are almost sure that she will be a little delayed or maybe a lot with her talking. She is learning two languages and we have read that sometimes it takes children more time to learn both or several. It is difficult to kind of understand why at home we speak different from what she hears at daycare. We try to speak just Spanish at home and just English elsewhere. We do not want her to start talking Spanglish at some point. It sounds horrible! but we run the risk it happens. Meanwhile sign language has been very helpful and right now we communicate very good with basic stuff.
